You only need to look at man's teeth to show that he is an omnivore. The molars are made for chewing grains, but the cuspids..those pointed strong teeth at the corners of the mouth, are seen in carnivores. We have both kinds of teeth so we are able to eat both vegetation and meat.
Nature is concerned only with getting us past the procreation stage, not longevity though, so eating meat may not be good for longevity. dkw
